This mode is entered by clicking on the text in a textbox, and finished by clicking on the background.
I.E. to edit the text in an existing textbox simply left click over the text once. A cursor will appear and you can start editing.
NB In this mode you are concentrating on editing the text within a textbox.
Note also the toolbar which gives you added options which appears as you enter Edit Text Mode.

Some other functions are still possible (despite this mode being primarily for editing text), such as adding connects.
To add a new textbox to your card right click on the background of the card and select TEXT ADD. A cursor will appear and you can start typing.

Adding Additional Textboxes - Fast Key Combinations

The advantage of using these functions is that you can continue typing without having to touch your mouse, and that a connect forms between the originally selected textbox and the new one.
Ctrl-D - use to add a new textbox below, or DOWN from the selected textbox
Ctrl-R - use to add a new textbox to the right of the selected textbox.

The Text Editing Toolbar

When you enter the Text Edit mode, you will notice a new toolbar appears. Using this 'Text Editing Toolbar' you can change the characteristics of the font within your textboxes, and those of the textbox itself.

You can move this toolbar to any location on the screen you wish.

To change the characteristics of existing text, highlight the text then change the parameters in the toolbox.
To change the characteristics of new font, change the parameters in the toolbox, position you cursor, then start typing.

Changes made will apply to the textbox selected at the time. To change the textbox you are editing, select the new textbox by left clicking in it.
